Sharing A Happy Memory With You Just Because

I am having a happy memory day when I was head of the Flower Guild at Holy Family in Chapel Hill. There were teams who took turns arranging, watering, looking after the altar flowers. It is a wonderful ministry. This header photo is one of my Christmas Sundays.

Once I dragged a concrete statue from the outside garden, washed it off, and somehow got it up to add to my arrangement. I thought maybe you would enjoy memories with me that bring beauty into our lives.

I used a piece of brown felt for the base and used three small orchid pots and several small primrose and violet pots. I still have the mechanics for this with the wood pieces tucked at the bottom. Can you find the tiny birds nest I included?

I found an origami cricket tucked into the arrangement later and a silver- like butterfly charm that somebody came and left. The mushrooms from my garden had petrified and were part of this small garden. It pleased me that someone had come to experience the arrangement up close and felt moved to add their own bit of spirituality behind.

It’s Monday, August 25, and no particular reason to add this to the Mainstreetrockymount.com blog except I believe that the flowers at the altar are part of our worship and giving glory to God any day is a good day to offer up our songs and praise. I hope you agree.
