Rocky Mount, NC: A Small Business Where You Can Shop Until You Drop

I love the new location of Towel Town on Sunset Avenue. The light, the staging for the merchandise, the parking. Everything looks updated, fresh and tempting. With Thanksgiving company coming, you’ll be entertaining. SO MANY good restaurants to try, and Towel Town a fun shopping opportunity. You know Main Street is my thing, so business downtown is 1st priority, but something wonderful will fill TT’s vacant space.

Towel Town has always been known for its lamp and shades, repair, sprucing up, or taking a $5.00 vase from a house sale, as I did, that now looks fabulous. I would never have walked in and said, “I need a black shade lined with gold cloth. to finish this lamp.” I couldn’t leave without it. The gals behind the counter said they play with shades when a lamp is finished like Barbie Dolls. You can’t see it but each of these flowers are outlined in gold. Isn’t it great!

Do you remember the Oldsmobile ad, “This is not your father’s Oldsmobile? Leo Burnett Advertising in Chicago, where my husband worked” created this line. Towel Town isn’t the old version either. They have recreated themselves and are now, shinny, and at this time of year, merry and bright. There is a great inventory. I’d like all the socks on the rack and fresh bows displayed here and there. Oh, and ornaments, you’ll love them.

Main Street wishes you a happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. Towel Town is a mainstay in our Rocky Mount life. Go see them.
