Bloody Hell!

This has a nice ring to it. If you are addicted to English mysteries as I am, you are familiar with the expression.

In British, and other Commonwealth English, ‘bloody hell’ is an informal, mildly offensive expletive used to express surprise, annoyance, disbelief, anger, or frustration.

Like, “Bloody hell, I can’t believe we missed the train,” or “What the Bloody hell are you doing?”

It’s not among the harshest swear phrases in British English, but historically it was considered quite rude or vulgar, especially in more “polite” social settings.

The Mainstreetrockymount.com blog is certainly not read by rude or vulgar people. Quite the contrary, but by bright and curious people. Therefore, I feel quite free to brandish this apt expletive in a fit of temper over one more Bloody Thing casting Rocky Mount in a bad light.

I quite like finding lyrics to a song that suit my purposes.

How Long by Ace (whoever that is?)

How long has this been going on?
How long has this been going on?
Well, if friends with their fancy persuasion
Don’t admit that it’s part of a scheme
But I can’t help but have my suspicions
‘Cause I ain’t quite as dumb as I seem

The Auditors must put us out of our misery and provide answers and justice. We can’t let corruption continue to be the climate we live in. Seize the moment, for bloody sake, and let’s get on with it!
