We have an edited version of Kamala Harris going on. This should be a significant challenge given her limited accomplishments as VP, but she is being portrayed as righteous and capable. I am flabbergasted that the leaders of the Democrat party are willing to invest their political capital in her. Though her win would postpone the scrutiny they have coming. Kamala’s main achievements have been fulfilling Biden’s criteria of being a woman and black. Until a few days ago, her tenure has largely been seen as an embarrassment. Her ineptness is now being “power-washed” away.

Because I have been spending the summer reading Henry Kissinger’s The White House Years, my indignation knows no bounds when it comes to this lowering of the bar to the lowest common denominator for a Presidential candidate. There is nothing wrong with being average, some days I can’t even manage that, but I draw the line at selling Yellow Electric School Busses to the public or explaining Ukraine as proof of Kamila’s adequate credentials to be President of the US.
So far, after reading hundreds of pages on the Nixon/Kissinger partnership in dealing with Russia and China and Vietnam, I can tell you that Kamila’s exuberance, “I LOVE SCHOOL BUSSES” won’t be enough.
KAMALA HARRIS: “So, Ukraine is a country in Europe. It exists next to another country called Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So, basically that’s wrong.”

The world is safer, more just and inspired, when America is strong and clear about who we are. It is inconceivable because of her lack of notable achievements, her positions on critical issues, like the border, the economy, education and our national safety that she is our hope in today’s complex world.
Kissinger writes: “It was still the honeymoon period, the first time in Nixon’s life that he enjoyed broad sympathy and popular support. He reveled in it like a man who has reached an oasis after traversing an inhospitable desert.”
The upcoming November election will reveal how far the Democrats have been willing to go to be right. Rather than finding and encouraging new leadership over the last four years, all that energy has been spent on ruining Trump. The consequence is they have no other choice but Kamala.
Biden is out because he couldn’t win, but Kamala is in because she is all they’ve got. As someone who remains hopeful—like Peter Pan, still clapping my hands, I believe we can save the day focused on the policy differences. There is little hope that Harris will be pressured into giving substantial answers, but I’ve heard all I need to know about her already. The lack of connection with what Americans are struggling with will prevail. In the end, the Biden/Harris mistakes will cost them the election, Power Washing be damned.
