Oh my! I went to check on how the Studio 13 project was coming along. I make no apologies for how I reacted by throwing up my hands, and smiling with appreciation for the handsome facade before me. This repurposing is tasteful, handsome, a little edgy, and deserving of a blue ribbon for great success. Rocky Mount has a spot-on addition to its revitalization efforts.
Located in the heart of Rocky Mount, Studio 13 is Rocky Mount’s first industrial style luxury mixed-use development. Featuring polished concrete floors, matte finishes, stainless steel appliances, and keyless entries, Studio 13 is equipped with all of the modern amenities that a resident deserves. I already admire those who will bring their dreams and ambitions, heart and spirit to this reimagined space. This is ‘way cool,’ thank you from Main Street and beyond.

I am happy to see improvements to Main St. and now Pearl St. My parents took me home from the Rocky Mount Sanitarium Hospital to 308 S. Pearl St. after my birth on July 9, 1947. I lived in Rocky Mount until I left for good in October 1969. Although I have lived in Port Orange, Florida for 45 years, Rocky Mount will always be home. I am not sure when I’ll next be returning for a visit but will certainly use your blog to check out progress.
