I’ve driven by the church a zillion times but had never gone inside. Friend, Denise Watkins, invited me to the church women’s dinner on November 2. Even without Icons and a cross above the altar, the goodness of the evening was a great gift to this Episcopal ‘standing kneeling, kneeling standing’ Anglican, high church, worshiper.
One of my passions is china, flower arranging/ table top designs. Englewood Baptist women out did themselves for this event. You will agree once you see the photos I took of the tables. (Photo on right: celebrating my birthday a few years back with Denise)
How blessed I was to spend time with these faithful, prayerful women. The highlight was Bible teacher, Erin Davis: Inspirational Keynote Speaker, Best-selling Author, “Mourning Has Broken,” Podcaster Professional MC
Commercial & Voiceover Artist, Writer Broadcaster Blogger; she is an inspiration and born Bible teacher. Englewood ladies know how to sing, to offer hospitality to the likes of me. If you are unchurched and St. Andrews Episcopal Church isn’t a good fit, after one visit, I can say Englewood will support you in your spiritual life. In this day and times, the churches of Rocky Mount are the wind under our wings, praying when we don’t, singing hymns of praise when we need a healing balm. Even if unchurched, pray for Rocky Mount, the country, and the world. The power of our prayers can’t be measured.
This blog is dedicated to the faithful of Rocky Mount, NC

It was our pleasure to have you with us. We are glad you came with Denise and felt right at home. It is our goal to welcome everyone with loving arms and a safe space to experience Jesus. Come again any time!
